What Are International Youth Exchanges?
Youth exchanges within the Erasmus+ programme are unique international projects that give young people (aged 13 to 30) an unparalleled opportunity to explore the world and build relationships with peers from different European countries, and often also with partner regions from around the globe. These are not ordinary trips, but rather intensive educational experiences based on non-formal education methods.
After completing the project, each participant receives a Youthpass certificate, which officially recognises the skills they have acquired and can be a valuable asset for their future career. Importantly, the Erasmus+ programme places a strong emphasis on social inclusion, offering additional support to people with fewer opportunities (e.g. due to economic, educational, health-related or geographical circumstances), so that everyone has equal access to mobility opportunities.
