Why Stowarzyszenie Akwedukt?
Why Stowarzyszenie Akwedukt?
In the middle of the difficulties and challenges which we are still going through in the time of the pandemic, that caused disruptions on the planned activities and prevented the volunteers from living their experience to the fullest, Stowarzyszenie Akwedukt never stopped working and supporting their volunteers. When everyone was at home we were having online workshops empowered by Akwedukt’s trainers and workers to develop online skills to facilitate workshops for youth in the different organizations where we work.
In June we started to prepare for Culture Week and during the preparations Akwedukt’s team surprised the volunteers with a kayaking trip to immerse our souls in the beauty of Liwa river near Kwidzyn.
After recharging our energy we started the Culture Week with some health regulations to ensure the safety of all the participants and of course ourselves, it went perfectly and the fun was to the max!
In September we had to say goodbye to some volunteers and hello to new ones, although the situation was the same when it comes to the pandemic. The new batch of the volunteers were also worried about whether or not they made the right decision when they decided to come to Kwidzyn. So the amazing staff of Akwedukt stood up and surprised all of the volunteers by taking them to calm the mind and rebalance the self on a deep relaxation concert in a Japanese center in Kwidzyn.
Akwedukt’s staff will always do their best to provide their volunteers with all of their needs, whatever the circumstances will be, to ensure that they will have an unforgettable experience in Poland.
