Visegrad Youth Entrepreneurial Virtual Program

What? Visegrad Youth Entrepreneurial Virtual Program is a virtual experience, targeted to young people and high school students aged 14-17, who are keen on developing their entrepreneurial skills and creating a positive impact in their communities.

Why? The project is based on answering the current need in the Visehrad region, consequence of the COVID-19 crisis, of creating accessible educational opportunities for young people. Through the project we are aiming to indirectly increase the capacities in the partnering organizations to implement immersive online programs, which are based on direct work with the youth and small groups engagement. By working with representatives from the partnering organizations, we are hoping to create a developmental opportunity for them to increase their skills in distance learning. We hope that long-term the result of this process will be that each organization will be capable of building their own short programs for young people.

Methodology (How?)
The program for students, part of this project, will be based on non-formal and experiential learning methods, adapted to an online environment. It will be followed up by peer-to-peer mentoring in small groups (of 6 students), which will be led by facilitators and experts from the partnering organizations (Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary). We would like to take a cooperative approach into working on the program activities and we hope that each organization will bring its own know-how, experience and ideas for creating a unique and creative learning experience for young people.

Objectives and Outcomes expected for the young people
During the Virtual event the participants will acquire entrepreneurial skills and develop their entrepreneurial thinking. The program will serve as a platform to connect with other like-minded young people and inspire them to work on their own projects, bringing positive impact in their communities. We would like to create an environment where young people feel empowered to act and believe that they can be changemakers in their own society.
