Jordan in the heart of Akwedukt: An intercultural journey with Luma 🇯🇴✨

Last Friday, our center was filled with the spirit of the Middle East! All thanks to a unique cultural presentation about Jordan prepared and led by our volunteer, Luma 💛. Through her stories, we were able to travel for a moment to a country where modernity intertwines with thousands of years of history.

What did we discover?

Treasures of the desert:
Together, we followed the footsteps of the ancient Nabataeans in the pink city of Petra and admired the Martian landscapes of the Wadi Rum desert 🏜️.

Life from a local perspective:
Luma shared with us not only facts, but above all emotions — she spoke about everyday rituals, traditions, and what makes Jordan such a unique place.

Flavors and symbols:
We learned more about Jordanian hospitality, which is the foundation of the local culture, and about what modern life looks like for young people in Amman.

It was an evening full of inspiring conversations, interesting questions, and — most importantly — genuine intercultural exchange 🤝. Meetings like this remind us that despite the distances between us, curiosity about the world and positive energy always bring us together ✨.
