Spreading kind ideas through fairy tales
How much do you need to travel to the jungle?
Good story and perceptive hearts. There is no destination a child’s fantasy can’t reach, just help to navigate there.
We are all made of stories – those we were told, those we’ve lived through. Fairy tale is a life lesson to live through. Moral, together with a powerful imaginary, makes it a genre to influence a young mind like no other type of a story.
Fairy tales all over the world tell about the same human values, like love and friendship. But the way they do it is diverse. Each nation has its own distinctive motives, types of heroes, creatures, situations that reflect the culture and mentality of people. This spring Akwedukt opened the new project, to use the power of fairy tales to spread kind ideas and praise diversity.
On the 15th of March the kids from Chatka Puchatka kindergarten joined Akwedukt. To voyage to the wilds! It was the first intercultural fairy tale workshop. The jungle was raised on office tiles, and the story about human diversity and friendship emerged. There is no ‘us’ and ‘them’, the morals told. After a tale to hold your breath to, kids were invited to draw their impressions, and, of course, to play. We thank our little fellow travelers for the first sweet adventure.
