“Women fighters” was the first answer we heard from the audience, when Pervin asked about their knowledge of Kurdistan, as they are known for their resistance against IS*IS in the last decade. And she led us on an emotional journey, recounting the struggles of Kurdish people over the past century across the four countries they are located in.
Following the serious discussion, everyone’s favorite parts of the presentation were the delicious Kurdish food and Pervin’s singing in her language. Her heart-touching voice brought happiness, almost like an actual concert!🎵
