On 8.06 the majority of the volunteers had a free day in there working place, and went on the river Liwa for a little kayaking.

In the morning we met in the office and by cars we left to Prabuty. Altought there was a traffic sooner or later we arrived there, and after a small breakfast, discussing about pairs, we got into the kayaks. More then the half of us had the first experience.

There were three different part of the river which we did that day. In the first it was full of reeds and other water plants. Only we had a half-a-meter wide corridor for our boats. It was really challenging, and it seemed impossible or at least extremly challenging. But we had this feeling because we hadn’t known what was waiting for us in the end…

After half an hour suddenly our endless fight with the reeds finished. We arrived in a huge lake, next to the village Prabuty. There since the weather was excellent and we were glad of many reasons, we started a water fight, which ended with a great lunch on the water.

Soon, we decided to leave our small heaven and continou our way. We arrived in a forest, which was lovely in the begining, but after… After under, upper and around the fallen trees. But I would say it was still bearable. But when we had to leave our boat not just for take the boat from one side to the other, but also to carry it 20 meters on the ground, I would call it disaster. At least one million of mosquitoes felt the smell of good human blood, and thought now they will have a feast.

In the end our adventure became again a nice-delicate rowing on the calm river.

Overall, it was a really good team-builing programme for us. We laughed, suffered, helped, played a lot. Thanks for this opportunity.
