INFO ABOUT COORDINATING ORGANISATION:

Akwedukt Association is NGO founded by local activists, who want to develop their city, and at the same time help others. AKWEDUKT is an idea to create an organization that focuses on local development, activation of the inhabitants of Kwidzyn, young people, volunteering and promoting cultural diversity. From 2015 we coordinated work of 60 hosted volunteers.

WHAT DO WE OFFER? WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT?

• 11 – 12-month project
• Budget:
  • 90 euro per month/pocket money
  • 430 zł per month/ food money
  • 180/ 275/ 360 euro – grant for travel according to distance (reimbursement) for both sides
• shared room (for 2 people) in an apartment with other volunteers (no smoking/alcohol/drugs policy!)
• 24 days off for the whole project * (2 days off per month/to be discussed with project coordinator and work coordinator)
• CIGNA Insurance – Health
• mentor’s support
• Polish language lessons
• additional training

Tasks for a volunteer are divided into two facilities:

Our Association, where a future volunteer will lead games and language lessons for kids in a different age (4 groups), help us with organising meeting for youngsters, promote EVS and ESC projects and more

and Kindergarten where the volunteer will support all daily tasks, help to prepare classes, games, activities.

VOLUNTEER’S PROFILE:

– a person between 18 – 30 years old

– willing to work and learn, highly motivated

– ready to work within a small community

– creative likes to take initiative when it’s possible

– able to work in a team as well as alone

– have a working level of the English language

All candidates will have an interview via Skype with the representative of coordinating organisation.
