„I’ve been a volunteer in Frontino for two months. It is a small but charming village among wild mountains. My Italian adventure is coming to an end. A few more days, and me and other volunteers from European countries will return to our homelands…

Being under one roof with nine strangers was a real challenge (maybe it’s because I’m a terrible pedant;)) Communicating with people who have another worldview, religion, etc. made me realize that we are more different than one would expect.

So I can be relieved that globalization has not taken away our individual identity, despite the fact that we can all proudly define ourselves as Europeans. The volunteer activities of my project were mainly focused on supporting tutors at children’s summer camps.
We conducted English lessons, we organized movie evenings or football matches or just fooled around with the kids in the yard. There was also time for travel. I visited Urbino, San Leo and Venice, and some volunteers took part in La Notte Rosa in Rimini (all-night event with pink as the main color). I spent a great time in Italy and gathered a lot of new experiences and if someone in the future asks me for advice whether to volunteer abroad, I will answer without hesitation: “YES”.
